Twitter API Limits - User is over daily status update limit, network Twitter

The Impact of Twitter API Limits on Zift Social Syndication

Twitter began enforcing new rate limits on API usage on 22 October 2018. An explanation of the limits can be seen here.

You may receive this error message on a Twitter post that has not been sent, User is over daily status update limit, network Twitter.

What is the impact on Zift?
Once the Zift platform has posted 300 posts to Twitter within a 3 hour period all additional posts are blocked by Twitter until the 3 hours have expired.

What has Zift done to address it?
When notified of this pending change, Zift requested "elevated POST access" for the platform in accordance with Twitter requirements. That request was denied. Unfortunately, Twitter's denial came after an extended delay.

What is Zift doing about it?
Zift Product Management is in the process of developing a strategy to comply with Twitter's new requirements. As the strategy develops we will keep you posted on the pending changes and their respective timelines.
